Easy Hand Made Christmas Gift

Using the “Mirror drawings” that my daughter and her husband did of themselves, and the mirror drawing I did of them as they kissed, I made these coolsome custom tee shirts for each of them for a Christmas gift. Her tee shirt has the world “Kool” beneath her picture and the word, “Kooler” beneath his picture. His tee shirt has the word, “Kool” beneath his picture and the word, “Kooler” beneath hers. On the backs of both their tee shirts I wrote the word, “Koolest” beneath the picture of them kissing. Because I think it is soooo very cool that they are together and will celebrate their one year anniversary on the 26th of December this year!

How to: Making Salsa

Delicious and simple to make authentic salsa. Using only serranos, jalapenos, garlic, and cilantro (optional) you can make this in less than 15 minutes. Also, you can easily add 1/4 of a raw onion too. You can increase or decrease the intensity of the heat in the salsa by adding or subtracting chili’s. Don’t be afraid to experiment with the recipe. In the video, I stated a tablespoon of Kosher salt, but I meant a teaspoon or less of salt. Squeeze some lime juice to finish this recipe.

Real hand made tortilla (Mexican Food)
Making real tortillas includes grinding the “nixtamal” (dried field corn soaked in hot slaked lime and water). The lady uses a “metate”, flat volcanic stone and grinding stone with both hands to get the “masa” dough. The dough is then pattered in a circular form, tossed a little and placed on the “comal”, over the fire to get cooked. Once done they are placed in a basket. Enjoy a real tortilla, one at a time, not from powder, not form a machine. Haciendo tortillas a mano sin maquinas en Mexico.
